There are 3 main types of wagers when it comes to sports betting; Point Spread (Spread), MoneyLine(ML), and Totals (Over/Under). These types of bets can be used as full games, quarter or period, and or first and second hald bets. Another important wager is a Parlay
Point Spread (Spread)
The amount one team must either win by or not lose by. - sign(favorite) indicates the team giving points up, + sign (underdog) indicates the team that is receiving points.
Example: Kansas -7 vs Texas +7.
If the score is Kansas 75 Texas 65, then Kansas covers the spread because they win by 10 points Result: Kansas -7 wins.
If the score is Kansas 75 Texas 70, then Texas covers the spread because they lost by less than 7 points Result: Texas +7 Wins.
If the score is Kansas 75 Texas 68, then the game is a push and your original bet is returned to you.
Result: Push
Moneyline (ML)
Bets that do not use point spreads. You bet on one team to just win the game.
Example: Rockets -155 at Blazers +135
If you Bet the Rockets (favorite) -155, you would have to wager $155 to win $100. If you bet the Blazers (Underdogs) +135 you would wager $100 to win $135
Totals (Over/Unders)
Parlay
BET NOW
The combined amount of total points or goals scored by both teams.
Example: Oklahoma vs Florida Over 54 or Under 54
If both teams combine for over 54 points, than over 54 wins, if both teams combine for under 54 points then under 54 wins, if they combine for 54 points total than the game is a push.
Parlay
A bet placed on two or games. Parlay bets may include different sports, point spreads, money lines and totals. In the event of a tie, the game will be removed from the parlat. For example, If one team ties in a four team parlay, it will drop to a three team parlay. The parlay bet payout depends on the number of teams and wager types.
